I am an astrophysicist interested in high energy phenomena in the Universe. My major fields of research involve accretion onto compact objects, relativistic hydrodynamics and magnetohydro- dynamics, black holes, neutron stars. As it is common for physical conditions that cannot be reproduced in a terrestrial laboratory, in the effort of interpreting and understanding the astronomical observations, I largely resort to numerical simulations and theoretical modeling.
